She was determined to have Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser disorder, making a large portion of her sweethearts 'pull out' in the wake of learning of her condition. At 16 years old, she had a beam of expectation as specialists cut open a thick layer of skin covering Devan's vagina to make a vaginal opening, permitting her to engage in sexual relations.
