On March 12, 2017, Facebook user Jhunnel Sarajan posted a picture of a father watching his two daughters eat their meals in a Jollibee branch.  

It was very evident that the father wanted to eat as well, but chose to make the sacrificeof not eating in order to feed his girls instead.

Sarajan’s wrote: “I can't contain my emotion when I saw them in Jollibee. Walang kinakain si kuya, mapakain lang ang kanyang mga anak. This is a photograph of a father's love. A depiction of genuine selflessness.” 

According to ABS-CBN News, Sarajan discovered that the father was a stroke victim named Ryan Arebuabo. Ryan lives in a four-square-meter shanty made of used plywood and rusty iron sheets. 

Their house is located in Barangay 61, Tondo, Manila. Ryan shared that, due to his stroke, he was unable to work for four months after being released from the hospital. 

He narrated that half of his body became paralyzed and he developed a difficulty speaking. 

Despite his condition, Arebuabo persevered to support his daughter’s education. 

He said, “Mahirap din, minsan napapagod ka. Pero kahit pagod ka, lumaban ka-- kahit ang tulog ko konti lang kasi nagtitinda ako eh.” 

On March 31, 2017, Jollibee Philippines' official Facebook page released photos with the caption: “A Jolly Surprise for Tatay Ryan’s Family!” 

Apparently, on March 28, Jollibee management decided to give Ryan and his twodaughters a birthday surprise that they would never forget.
