Have you ever heard of Mowgli or Tarzan’s stories? Their stories may seem fairy-tale-like, but there were actual children who were raised by animals after they went missing or were abandoned by their families. Will humans actually survive after being raised by animals of a different species?

In Bahraich, a town in Uttar Pradesh state in northern India, a girl believed to be aged around 10-12 years old was found by a group of woodcutters. Thinking she might be lost, the woodcutters approached the girl with intentions of rescuing her.

To their shock, monkeys started attacking them, as if ‘protecting’ the girl. Apparently, she has been raised by monkeys for an unknown period of time.

She was brought to a nearby hospital, where she was running on her arms and legs and eating food off the floor with her mouth, according to doctors. Watch her story here:
